The examples below use the $250 account. The $500 account works the same way with the figures in the table.
From Phase 1 to funded
There are three steps, each on its own account:
- Phase 1. Your account opens as soon as payment is confirmed. Reach the Phase 1 target without breaking a loss limit.
- Phase 2. Opens automatically the moment you pass Phase 1, on a fresh $250.00 balance with a lower target.
- Funded. The moment you pass Phase 2 your funded account opens automatically, and its Account ID and trading password are emailed to you. From here there is no target: you keep 80% of the profit you make. Your Deriv account must be verified for this; if it is not, the funded account opens once you verify. In rare cases we review an account before funding it, and we email you if so.
Each step is a new account with its own Account ID and trading password, emailed to you when it opens.
Profit targets and passing
You pass a phase the moment your balance reaches the target with no trades still open. There is no minimum number of trading days and no time limit, so you can pass on the day the account opens, or take as long as you like.
Open trades are left out on purpose: a pass is only final when every trade has settled, so a trade still running cannot later take the pass away.
On a $250.00 Phase 1 account the target is $45.00, so you pass when your balance reaches $295.00 and nothing is open. Phase 2 then opens at $250.00 with a $35.00 target (reach $285.00).
Loss limits
Maximum loss
Every account has a fixed floor, counted from the starting balance. It never moves, not even when you are in profit. If your balance reaches the floor, the account closes.
- Phase 1 and Phase 2: $37.50, so stay above $212.50.
- Funded: $50.00, so stay above $200.00.
The smallest trade Deriv accepts is $0.35. If less than $0.35 is left above the floor and you have no trade open, no further trade is possible, so the account closes as if it had reached the floor.
Daily loss limit (funded accounts only)
Phase 1 and Phase 2 have no daily limit. A funded account may lose at most $35.00 in one day. The day runs from 00:00 UTC, which is 3:00 a.m. in Kenya.
Profit is a cushion. The daily limit is counted from your balance at the start of the day or from the starting balance, whichever is lower. So an account in profit can give back all of its profit, plus the daily limit, before it is closed.
Your funded account started at $250.00 and opens today at $300.00. The daily limit counts from $250.00 (the lower of the two), so the account closes only if it falls to $215.00. If instead it opened the day at $240.00, the limit counts from $240.00 and the day’s floor is $205.00.
A new day restores your daily allowance, but never your maximum loss: the $200.00 floor stays where it is.
Stakes and open trades
Maximum stake
One trade may stake up to $37.50 on a $250.00 account (15%). Once the account is in profit, the maximum grows with it. How it grows depends on the account.
Funded accounts, Community Challenge accounts, and every account opened from 15 October 2026. The maximum is all of your profit plus our part. Our part starts at $37.50 and shrinks by $1 for every $3 of profit you make, down to $12.50, which it reaches when your profit is $75.00. Your maximum stake never goes down as your profit goes up.
| Your profit | Our part | Maximum stake |
|---|---|---|
| $0.00 | $37.50 | $37.50 |
| $10.00 | $34.16 | $44.16 |
| $30.00 | $27.50 | $57.50 |
| $75.00 | $12.50 | $87.50 |
| $100.00 | $12.50 | $112.50 |
Your account is $30.00 in profit. Our part is $27.50, so your maximum stake is $27.50 + $30.00 = $57.50.
Phase 1 and Phase 2 accounts opened before 15 October 2026. The maximum is $37.50 plus all of the profit the account has made, as it was when the account opened. An account $30.00 in profit may stake $67.50.
Funded accounts opened before 15 October 2026 moved to the first rule on 13 October 2026. This is the one rule we have changed on accounts already open: funded accounts trade real capital, and the change only affects an account while it is in profit.
On every account, a larger stake is not refused: it is reduced to the maximum and the trade goes ahead, so a running bot keeps trading.
Your stake has to fit in the loss room left
Open trades hold their full stake against your loss limits until they settle. A new stake is reduced, if needed, so that all your open stakes together can never take the account past a limit. Only when the room left is below Deriv’s smallest stake ($0.35) is the order refused, and the message tells you how much room is left.
A Phase 1 account at $220.00 has $7.50 of room above its $212.50 floor. A $37.50 stake is reduced to $7.50.
Trades open at once
Up to 50 trades can be open at the same time, as long as their stakes fit in the room left.
What you can trade
Every Deriv trade type offered in the trading terminal is available, including multipliers, with one exception: accumulators are not available on DFunded accounts. An accumulator order is refused before it is placed, so it never costs you anything.
How results are decided
Every trade is placed with Deriv, and its result is Deriv’s own record of the contract: the entry and exit prices, the payout and the profit or loss. We never price a trade ourselves. Your balance changes when Deriv settles the trade, and your dashboard shows the same figures.
You can close a trade early wherever Deriv allows it (for example multipliers, or rise/fall contracts that offer resale), from the trading terminal or from Open positions in your dashboard. Contracts without early close run to expiry.
Your Account ID and trading password
Every account has its own Account ID and trading password, emailed to you when the account opens. To trade, open bot.dfunded.site (or any partner site that offers the DFunded login), choose DFunded and sign in with them. You can hold several accounts and switch between them.
Anyone with these details can trade the account, so keep them private. You can replace the trading password at any time from your dashboard; the old one stops working at once. Your dfunded.site password is never used for trading.
Second chance
Every purchase carries one free retry. If your Phase 1 or Phase 2 account reaches a loss limit for the first time, a Try again button appears on that account in your dashboard.
- It opens from the next UTC day and stays available for 7 days.
- You get a fresh account at the same phase, with the same rules and balance, at no charge.
- The retry account itself has no retry.
- Buying a new account while a retry is waiting forfeits it.
- Funded accounts are not covered: a funded loss limit closes the account for good.
Payouts and profit share
On a funded account you keep 80% of the profit above the starting balance; the firm keeps 20%. Phase 1, Phase 2 and Community Challenge accounts have no payouts.
- Request a payout from your dashboard, from $10.00.
- Close all open trades first: profit is only final with nothing at risk.
- Trading on the account pauses while the request is in review, and resumes as soon as it is paid or declined.
- Every request is checked against the trading history before it is paid, by M-Pesa or bank transfer.
- Your balance drops by the whole profit withdrawn (your 80% plus the firm’s 20%). A payout is never counted as a trading loss and never moves your loss limits.
- Your starting balance is never withdrawable, and profit not yet paid is lost if the account reaches a loss limit.
Your funded account is at $275.00. The profit is $25.00, so you can request up to $20.00 (80%). Once it is paid, the balance is back to $250.00.
When an account closes
An account stops taking trades when it:
- reaches its maximum loss or, if funded, its daily loss limit;
- passes Phase 1 or Phase 2 (the next account opens instead).
A closed account keeps its full trade history in your dashboard. A loss limit that has been reached stays reached, even if the market would later have turned in your favour.
Community Challenge
The Community Challenge is a free $250.00 account for a fixed-date competition, with the Phase 1 limits: up to $37.50per trade, rising with profit as funded accounts do, 50 open trades, and a $37.50 maximum loss with no daily limit. Each account may place up to 60 new trades a minute. Every trade counts on the public leaderboard, and the top places when it ends win funded DFunded accounts; each challenge states its own prizes and dates. A challenge may require you to register before it starts, after which nobody else can join. A challenge may also require at least one trade on every day to win a prize: a day is 24 hours counted from the challenge’s start time, a refused order does not count as a trade, and a prize place that missed a day wins nothing (the prize is not passed to the next trader). The challenge account itself never moves to Phase 2, is never funded and has no payouts.
Fees and your copy of the rules
The fee is paid once and covers both evaluation phases and the funded account. There is no cashback on passing.
The rules on each account are fixed at the moment it opens. If we change a rule later, accounts already open keep the rules they started with.
